CUNA

The “Cuna” from “Cuna” is Burgundy in Tuscany. Federico Staderini, agronomist turned winemaker, conceived Cuna in his maturity, choosing the elevated, forested hills of Casentino to cultivate Pinot Nero and the ancient Etruscan Abrostine. The wide day/night temperature swings and clay-limestone soils impart finesse and depth to the grapes.

Description

The “Cuna” from “Cuna” is Burgundy in Tuscany. This exceptional red wine is crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, grown and vinified according to biodynamic practices. The grapes are hand-destemmed, foot-crushed, and fermented with only indigenous yeasts. The wine then matures for a minimum of 15 months in neutral barriques and is bottled without filtration or fining, allowing it to rest for as long as possible before release.

Its color is a bright, clear ruby red, while the nose offers a bouquet of rare elegance and complexity: wild berries and arbutus are followed by hints of iron, pepper, and balsamic notes. On the palate, its allure is irresistible—rugged like the woods of Casentino yet refined and profound like the finest Burgundy, a wine it can proudly stand alongside.

This is a Pinot Noir of strong character, refined and elegant, revealing countless subtle nuances while maintaining perfect harmony and balance.

Cuna is a choice that brings together two seeds: one sentimental, the other technical. But both are rooted in the belief that it is the place that dictates the wine, not the other way around.
